About the project
The KoINTEGRA-EU2.0 project examines the challenges of deeper economic integration and convergence of Croatia with the European Union in the second decade of EU membership. The project focuses on three interrelated dimensions: the macroeconomic and institutional determinants of integration; changes in the labour market and productivity with a particular emphasis on digital transformation; and regional development disparities and the effects of cohesion policy. By employing quantitative methods and a database developed within the project, the research enables a comparative assessment of Croatia’s experience relative to other EU Member States. The project outputs will include scientific articles published in WoS/Scopus-indexed journals and a scientific monograph, with dissemination activities carried out through conferences, a dedicated website, and a round-table discussion. The project adopts an interdisciplinary approach, bringing together experts in economics, law, and demography, and contributes to both the scientific and societal relevance of debates on the future of European integration. In this way, the project supports the design of more effective development policies and strengthens an evidence-based approach to economic strategy-making in the post-accession period.
