Research team
Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Macroeconomics and Economic Development. With more than fifteen years of academic and teaching experience, she is the author of numerous scientific publications and has participated in many international scientific conferences. She obtained her PhD on the role of structural policies in strengthening the export competitiveness of the Republic of Croatia. Her research interests focus on macroeconomics, economic policy, labour markets, convergence, and European integration. She has participated in several scientific projects funded by national and European sources. She has undertaken advanced training abroad, including a three-month research stay as a visiting scholar at the Barcelona Graduate School of Economics, and has completed multiple advanced courses in quantitative methods, econometrics, and economic policy modelling. She serves as Chair of the Statutory Committee for Quality and Accreditation at the Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb and is Executive Editor of the scientific journal Ekonomski pregled. She is also actively involved in the organisation of domestic and international scientific conferences. She is the recipient of several awards for excellence in teaching and research, including the Mijo Mirković Award (2019) and the Ljubomir Martić Award (2023).
Full Professor (tenured), Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Macroeconomics and Economic Development. She obtained her PhD in 2003 within the joint EDAMBA programme at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and the Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb. She specialises in macroeconomics, employment policy, and industrial policy, is the author of over 110 scientific publications, and a co-author of several scientific books. She has received numerous scientific awards, including the “Mijo Mirković” Award (2005, 2008, 2013, 2020, and 2023) and the Annual Award of the Society of University Teachers and Other Scientists (DSN) for Young Scientists and Artists (2005). She has participated in many scientific projects funded by the Ministry of Science and Education, the Croatian Science Foundation, the World Bank, Oxford Analytica, USAID, CERGE-EI, and the Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (ARIS). She is a member of the Field Committee for Economics and, since 2024, a researcher on the HORIZON STEAMbrace project, as well as the principal investigator of a bilateral Croatian–Slovenian scientific project (Ministry of Science and Education, 2025).
Full Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Business Law. She obtained her Master’s degree in European Studies jointly organised by Panthéon-Assas University (Paris II) and the University of Zagreb, and earned her PhD at the Faculty of Law in Zagreb. She is the author of more than 60 scientific and professional publications in the field of European and commercial law. She has lectured as a visiting professor in Europe and Asia and is a visiting lecturer at the University of Pécs. She has participated in various European projects as an expert reviewer, team member, and coordinator. She is a member of the management boards of several COST projects and a Horizon Europe project, and coordinates the Jean Monnet Teachers Training project Solidarity Europe for an Inclusive Society (EUsolis, 2022–2025).
Full Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Macroeconomics and Economic Development. He obtained his PhD on the topic Macroeconomic Effects and the Development of the Financial System in Transition Economies. His research focuses on macroeconomics, competitiveness, and economic growth. He has published numerous scientific papers and has actively participated in international conferences. He has been involved in the project The Role of Structural Policies in Enhancing the External Competitiveness of EU Countries (2015–2019), as well as in research projects funded by the University, including studies on export competitiveness, macroeconomic stability, and capital account liberalisation in the context of Croatia’s accession to the European Union. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal ZIREB.
Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Macroeconomics and Economic Development. He obtained his PhD in the fields of European integration and financial markets, and undertook advanced training at the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw), the University of Cambridge, Northwestern University, the University of Surrey, and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has participated in a large number of scientific and professional projects in economics. He has published several dozen papers in international scientific journals and is the recipient of the State Award for Science and the Austrian Central Bank’s Olga Radzyner Award. He was the principal investigator of the Croatian Science Foundation project MacroHub – Establishment and Development of the Centre for Structural and Nonlinear Macroeconomic Modelling (2018–2022) and is the head of the MacroHub research centre.

Her research focuses on macroeconomics and environmental economics, sustainable economic growth, regional integration, and convergence within the European Union. She has participated in several scientific projects funded by the Croatian Science Foundation and the Ministry of Science, Education and Sports. She has undertaken advanced training abroad at the Paris School of Economics, the Santa Fe Institute, as well as at numerous other summer and winter schools. She is the recipient of several national awards for her scientific and teaching work. She serves as a reviewer for many international and domestic journals and conferences. She is a member of the editorial board of ZIREB and the organising committee of the international Odyssey Conference.
Associate Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Macroeconomics and Economic Development. He obtained his PhD in the field of regional economics, with a focus on the role of manufacturing industry in development. He has published around twenty scientific papers and is a co-author of university textbooks. His research interests include regional development, cohesion policy and specialisation, with a particular focus on regional resilience. He serves as a reviewer for several journals and international scientific conferences. He is Secretary and Assistant Editor of ZIREB and actively contributes to faculty governance as a member of the Committee for Teaching and Teaching Materials, the Committee for Lifelong Learning, and the Committee for Journals. He is also a member of the Organising Committee of the ICED international conference.
Assistant Professor, Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Demography. He obtained his PhD in demography on the topic Changes in the Socioeconomic Characteristics of the Population of the City of Zagreb. He is actively involved in teaching and research and is a member of research teams on projects funded by the Croatian Science Foundation, NextGenerationEU, and the Adris Foundation. He has participated in numerous conferences and publishes in domestic and international journals. He has undertaken advanced training in Barcelona and Bratislava in the fields of quantitative demography and statistics. He serves as Secretary and Vice-President of the Croatian Demographic Society and is a member of the International Union for the Scientific Study of Population (IUSSP).
Assistant, Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, Department of Business Law. She graduated in Law from the Faculty of Law in Zagreb in 2019 and spent one semester during her studies in Spain at the Faculty of Law of the Autonomous University of Madrid as part of the Erasmus programme. She is involved in teaching courses in commercial law and conducts research in European law, commercial law, and company law. She previously worked at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, where she was part of the Secretariat of the Croatian Presidency of the Council of the European Union. Prior to joining the Faculty of Economics and Business Zagreb, she worked at the Faculty of Law on international cooperation and project-related activities. She is actively involved in the Jean Monnet EUsolis project, the ECO4ALL (COST) project, and the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy). She has also participated in the organisation of international scientific conferences.
